Fractal Design ha lanzado nuevos modelos de su familia Core, caracterizada por ofrecer las prestaciones de del resto de diseños de la marca con unos precios más agresivos. La nueva serie X3 de la familia Core son cajas preparadas para refrigeración líquida, con un estudiado flujo de aire y un sistema para montar hasta seis discos en vertical. Para mayor versatilidad, la jaula de discos se puede quitar para montar radiadores de refrigeración líquida de hasta 280mm.
La X3 Series está compuesta de 4 modelos distintos, cada uno orientado a diferentes necesidades.
Fractal Design Core 3300
La semitorre de cuerpo ancho de la serie. Está construida en aluminio y ofrece características que típicamente solo se ve en cajas más caras. Gran gestión de cables, soporte para varios radiadores, y viene con dos ventiladores de 140mm preinstalados (soporta hasta dos de 240mm o 240mm + 280mm). En total se le pueden poner 7. Puede albergar tres discos de 3.5″ y otros tres de 2.5″, más otros dos SSDs que se pueden alojar detrás de la placa base.

Es el modelo compacto y viene también con un par de ventiladores de 120mm preinstalados y soporta radiadores de 280mm y 240mm. De nuevo 3x 3.5″ + 3x 2.5″ + 1x 2.5″ SSD detrás de la fuente. Un interior en blanco y negro y gestión de cables redondean sus características.

Fractal Design Core 1100
El último de los modelos, a pesar de tener unas dimensiones reducidas pensadas para mATX ofrece todo lo necesario. En este caso viene preinstalado un solo ventilador de 120mm y el panel delantero está equipado con filtros de polvo. En cuanto a discos, 2x 3.5″, 3x 2.5″ o uno de cada.
